The Trio

Founded in 2018 by violinist Maria Tió, cellist Ferran Bardolet and pianist Ricard Rovirosa, the Tempus Trio, despite its short career, has already been recognized by critics and audiences as one of the most promising of its generation, achieving important successes in various international competitions and contests. They have been awarded the first prize of the International Music Competition "Grand Prize Virtuoso" 2019 in Brussels, the Platinum Medal (First Prize) of the "WPTA Singapore International Music Competition 2019", the Silver Medal of the "2nd Vienna International Competition 2020” and the special prize in the “BBVA Chamber Music Competition 2021”. The trio have been awarded by the Spanish Performers Association (AiE) their concert tour award for the season 2021/2022.
The Tempus Trio is currently studying for a Master's degree in Chamber Music at the prestigious Mozarteum University of Salzburg with Professor Cibrán Sierra Vázquez, violinist of the Quiroga Quartet.
Maria, Ferran and Ricard are three musicians who, individually, have been educated in the best musical institutions with great teachers such as Joan Havill (Guildhall School of Music and Drama), Albert Atenelle (Trio Barcelona), Vera Martínez Mehner (Cuarteto Casals) and Natalia Shakhovskaya (Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía). Their individual careers have also been recognised with multiple prizes in national and international competitions and they have already accumulated extensive concert experience, having performed in important concert halls in Europe, Asia and America; these have received the applause of audiences and critics and the attention of important audiovisual media.
